Timber Trail Accommodation

The Timber Trail is located in the Pureora Forest, off state highway 30, between Mangakino and Te Kuiti (Waitomo Caves) Central North Island. The Timber Trail is an 85km ride, made up of two halves with the free camping area of Piropiro Flats being the midway point.

There are a number of great accommodation options available so you can enjoy your two day adventure on the Timber Trail. All accommodation is close to the start, finish or half way point, which makes it easy to get to at the end of the day.

It is important to think about your Timber Trail accommodation options while planning your trip as the Timber Trail is not close to major centres so motels, restaurants and shops are not easy to come by.
